Lamont Norwood Honored by Kappa Alpha Psi for Community Service Excellence
On April 6, 2024, Lamont Norwood, President of Strategic Government Solutions, Inc., was honored by the Eastern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. with the Individual Achievement Award Certificate of Distinction in Community Service. Among Mr. Norwood's many accomplishments, one shines particularly bright: his collaboration with the Baltimore County chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. to provide hygiene supplies to local students. Together, these organizations supported over 300 students, leaving a lasting impact on the community. As a result, the Towson-Catonsville Kappa Alumni Chapter has been named a corporate partner of the Student Support Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of Baltimore County school children living in poverty.
The Student Support Network operates Rooms of Support in 21 district schools, offering essential items free of charge to students in need. Their partnership with Mr. Norwood and the Towson-Catonsville Kappa Alumni Chapter exemplifies the power of collective action in fostering a brighter future for Baltimore County's youth.
